Great site! I wasn't able to make it to the fest this year, so it's wonderful to be able to hear everything from this forum. Vivian was as impassioned, logical, and principled as ever. He's a good example that the politics of compassion can be rational; that personal freedom goes hand in hand with social justice; that ignorance and prejudice are the stumbling blocks to true human progress. I wish to thank him for his efforts and sacrifices to further the humanitarian cause. This isn't just a question of hemp. This is a movement to broaden the mind and open the heart. Even a 44-year-old woman can see the truth. As long as people continue to question, there's hope.

Why the hell is pot illegal. It's natural, peaceful, relaxing, and not one person has ever died from Marijuana, compared to 2000 people a year diing from asprin, or the thousands from alcohol, yet alcohol is legal. So many countries it is legal, and we hang here to dry. Millions of people smoke pot, more then 50% of this countries population smokes weed, and they say that it's a gateway drug, but I'm sorry the only drugs that I have every had was nicotine, alcohol, acid, shrooms, and pot. Right now I practically smoke pot every day, after work, and still keep a respectable full time job. I also drink occasionally on my days off. The others I quit, but I would do shrooms again. I just thing having Seattle Hemp Fest is one of the best thing, if not the best, in this state. Living in Silverdale, makes you look forward to something like that, along with End Fest, and Kitsap County Fair Grounds is about 5 minutes from where I live. If there is anybody out there that can help me find a band that was playing at the 2000 hempfest I would greatly appreciate it. They were playing the main stage and played well past their set, I happened to come in at the end of their set when they were playing a song called "The Wetlands(?)". They were rocking the crowd so hard it seemed like the entire hempfest was watching them. The man with the shirt made them get off the stage because there was a speaker or someone coming on. Everyone booed and left. Who are they? Please help!
